This section provides step-by-step instructions about installing VDA on the Windows 10 operating system.
Prerequisites
- Create a virtual machine and install the Windows 10 Server operating system.
- Ensure that the virtual machine is on
sddc-cgw-citrix-desktops
network with DHCP, and domain assigned to the network.
Procedure
- Mount the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops ISO, AutoSelect file.
- Click Start corresponding to Virtual Apps and Desktops.
- On the upper-right corner of the page, select Virtual Delivery Agent for Windows 10 single-session OS.
- On the Environment page, select Create a master MCS image and click Next.
- On the Core Components page, select the Virtual Delivery Agent check box and click Next.
The Workspace App is required for Double-Hop ICA Connections.
- On the Additional Components for Master MCS Image page, select the following default components and click Next.
- Citrix Supportability Tools
- Citrix Profile Management
- Citrix Profile Management WMI plug-in
- On the Delivery Controller Page, do the following:
- Select Do it manually.
- Enter the FQDN of each Delivery Controller.
- Click Test Connection and then click Add.
- Click Next.
- On the Feature page, select the required features and click Next.
- On the Firewall page, under Configure firewall rules, select Automatically and click Next.
- On the Summary Page, do the following:
- Review the list of components that will be installed.
- Select Enable restore on failure and then click Install.
Your computer reboots multiple times to complete the installation.
- (Optional) on the Diagnostics page, clear Collect Diagnostic Information if you want to enable the Citrix Call Home feature and then click Next.
- Click Finish to restart the system to complete the installation.
