SDDC Decommissioning

Decommissioning is a process that involves the withdrawal of hardware and software from your location.

Your SDDC is withdrawn in the following scenario:

• Your 1-year or 3-year subscription term ends, and you do not intend to renew the subscription term.

The decommission services are:

• The VMware SRE performs a remote soft reset of the infrastructure.
• A notification is sent to the Dell engineer that the hardware is ready for pickup.
• The Dell engineer collects the hardware from your location and securely performs a National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) 800-88 data sanitization offsite.
