You can check if your vCloud Usage Meter instances are uploading consumption data to VMware.

If you are checking the status of a newly registered vCloud Usage Meter instance, you must wait for up to 30 minutes before its status is updated in VMware Cloud Services Console.

Prerequisites

Verify that you have the Usage Administrator role assigned as an add-on role.

Procedure

  1. On the VMware Cloud Services Console toolbar, click Billing & Subscription > Overview > Usage Meters.
    You see a table with all registered vCloud Usage Meter instances.
  2. To open the details page of a vCloud Usage Meter instance, click the double right arrow icon () and click Details.

Results

At the bottom of the page, next to Last upload, you see the status of the vCloud Usage Meter instance.

Status Description
Green Your vCloud Usage Meter instance is uploading usage data to VMware. The tooltip displays: 
Usage Meter is uploading data to VMware. Last upload received on date_of_last_report
Red Your vCloud Usage Meter instance is not uploading usage data to VMware. The tooltip displays one of the following messages: 
  • Usage Meter has never uploaded data to VMware.
  • Usage Meter has not uploaded recent data to VMware. Last upload received on 
date_of_last_report.

If the status of your vCloud Usage Meter instance is red, verify that the vCloud Usage Meter instance is configured correctly.
