You can use Host and Storage Preference and Profile Settings to customize workload profile based on your requirements.

Separate Cluster for this Profile
If you have more than one workload profiles to manage, you can place them in separate clusters using this option.
Preferred VMC on AWS host type
The sizer selects i4i instance type by default for AWS host type. You can select i3, i3en, or Auto options based on your requirements.
Fault Tolerance
You can select the fault tolerance value from the drop-down for each workload profile. The fault tolerance value will be same as Global settings by default. The default selection for fault tolerance is the same as Global Settings.
Note: The selection overwrites the fault tolerance setting in Global Settings for an individual profile.
Storage Preference
You can set the host and storage preference for the individual workload profile. The default Storage Preference is set to vSAN+External Storage. You can choose between vSAN and External Storage options based on your requirements.
External Storage
You can select external storage based on your storage preference for each workload profile. Based on your requirements, you can select FSx for NetApp ONTAP or VMware Cloud Flex Storage from the drop-down menu. The default storage is set to VMware Cloud Flex Storage. To choose your external storage, ensure you select either vSAN+External Storage or External Storage in Storage Preference. You cannot choose external storage if you select vSAN only as your storage preference.
