When a vSphere cluster or VMC cluster is onboarded in VMware Data Services Manager,an environment derives is resources from an underlying vSphere virtual environment.
Because VMware Data Services Manager relies on vSphere resources to provide CPU, memory and storage to run virtual machines, you can use vCenter to add resources to the environments that you onboard with VMware Data Services Manager. You can add datastores and ESXi hosts; you cannot add networks after you install and deploy VMware Data Services Manager.
