VMware Data Services Manager allows you to update Application Networks and the Control Plane Network. You can add one or more Application Networks and change the default Application Network that is attached to the onboarded Agent, when required. You can also change the Control Plane Network that is attached to the onboarded Agent, when required. However, you can only remove an Application Network or Control Plane Network from an environment if none of the databases provisioned with that environment are using that network.
These procedures are typically performed by an Organization Administrator or Provider Administrator.
Perform the following procedure to update the Application Networks and Control Plane Network:
Log in to the VMware Data Services Manager console using your Organization Administrator or Provider Administrator credentials.
From the left navigation pane, select Environment.
The Environment view table displays the currently onboarded environments.
Examine the environments listed in the table, identify the environment for which you want to update the network, and click that row.
The environment information in the Details tab displays.
To update the configured Application Networks and Control Plane Network, click the EDIT button in the Environment Information section.
The Environment Edit dialog box displays.
Click the Networks tab in left pane of the Environment Edit dialog box.
The Networks form displays with the existing configuration pre-selected.
In the Application Network section, select one or more Application Network entries in the right pane and select one of the Application Network entries as Default.
In the Control Plane Network section, select a Control Plane Network in the right pane from the drop-down list.
Click UPDATE.
To validate the success of this operation, you can monitor the status in the Recent Operation pane.
