A VMware Data Services Manager Organization is a logical grouping of users that helps in efficient management of users and streamlined functions.
VMware Data Services Manager pre-defines two types of organizations:
- Provider Org - A type of organization to which one or more Provider Administrator user belongs. A Provider Org is created during installation of VMware Data Services Manager.
- Tenant Org - A type of organization with one or more Organization Administrator or Organization User user members.
Only one Provider Org can exist in the VMware Data Services Manager installation. VMware Data Services Manager automatically creates a Provider Org with the same name as the Provider Company Name specified when the Provider VM is deployed.
Tenant Orgs are created through the VMware Data Services Manager console or API. A Tenant Org can be created any time after the Provider VM is deployed. A Tenant Org
