It is a best practice across industries to update passwords that are used for access purposes. Thus, VMware Data Services Manager allows you to update credentials to access database template storage, when required. For example, due to a change in password or any other changes in account.

When you update the credentials to access database template storage, the in-flight database operations continue by using previous credentials.

VMware Data Services Manager uses Access Key and Secret Key as the username and password to access database template Storage.

A Provider Administrator or an Organization Administrator can modify the credentials to access database template storage.

Warning: While updating database template storage credentials, if you provide an invalid Access Key or Secret Key, subsequent database operations will fail.
