After you create a database in VMware Data Services Manager, you can change its basic information. You can activate directory service authentication or change a DNS name.
Procedure
- Select Databases from the left navigation pane.
This action displays the
Databases view, a table that lists the provisioned database VMs.
- Examine the databases listed in the table, and navigate to the database to update.
- Click the database Instance Name.
The database information
Summary tab displays.
- In the Basic Information pane, click EDIT, and specify the following in the Edit Basic Information dialog box.

Enable Directory Service Authentication |
To enable or disable directory service authentication for the database, switch the Enable Directory Service Authentication toggle. |
DNS Names |
Enter comma separated FQDNs. The DNS names are used in the Subject Alternative Name (SAN) fields of the TLS certificate. |
- Click SAVE to apply your changes.
