You can use Group Policy configuration to set which mode, standalone mode or integration mode, VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console runs in and to control if the Management Console provides the option for you to switch between modes.
Enabling the Workspace ONE UEM Integration policy setting from the VMware DEM Management Console.admx template allows you to set which mode the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console runs in. You can use the following policy options with this policy setting.

| Mode | Select the mode you want the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console to run in.

| Enforced | Select Enforced to prevent overriding the mode that VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console runs in. Without the Enforced option selected, you can use the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console to switch between modes. If you select Enforced, the following conditions and behaviors apply.

Note: Enabling the
Workspace ONE UEM Integration policy setting while the
Environments or
Lock down access to VMware DEM Management Console policy settings are configured, results in the following behavior.
- The configuration dialog in the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console is not available, which is the existing behavior when the Environments or Lock down access to VMware DEM Management Console policy setting is defined.
- The Save As and Extract options are available in the main menu,
, unless standalone mode is enforced through the Workspace ONE UEM Integration policy setting. - If command-line options are specified that implicitly or explicitly specify integration mode, or if the Workspace ONE UEM Integration policy setting is set to integration mode, an error message appears and the VMware Dynamic Environment Manager Management Console exits.
Procedure
- Open the Group Policy Management Editor and access the Management Console folder, located in .
- Double-click the Workspace ONE UEM Integration policy and click Enabled.
- Select the policy options you want to use.
- Click OK.
