You can configure the time that FlexEngine must wait to complete the printer mapping process, and select an action to either terminate the mapping or continue in the background (optionally at a lower priority) when the mapping times out.

Procedure

  1. In the Group Policy Management Editor, double-click Printer mapping timeout.
  2. Select Enabled.
  3. Configure the settings for printer mapping.
    Option Description
Timeout in seconds Configure the time (in seconds) that FlexEngine must wait to complete the printer mapping process.
If printer mapping is not completing in configured timeout Select the action that FlexEngine must take when printer mapping does not complete within the configured timeout.
    • Continue in background. Continue to run the printer mapping in the background without changing the process priority
    • Continue in background at a reduced priority. Reduce the priority of the printer mapping process, so there is less impact on the CPU
    • Terminate. Terminate the printer mapping process
Note: You can override this setting for individual printer mappings in the Management Console.
