You can perform cleanup actions after upgrading a Group Policy-based installation from VMware Dynamic Environment Manager 2106 or older versions.

Note: The cleanup actions are applicable only for Group Policy-based setups. NoAD mode deployments do not require any cleanup.
  • Any logon and logoff scripts used to launch FlexEngine.exe can be removed.
  • The existing logon and logoff scripts are skipped (with a message in the logs).
  • The following Windows Group Policy settings are no longer required for VMware Dynamic Environment Manager.
    • User Policy setting - Run logon scripts synchronously
    • Windows Computer Policy setting - Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon
  • There is no impact on the functionality of Dynamic Environment Manager if you do not clean up these settings immediately.
