You can perform cleanup actions after upgrading a Group Policy-based installation from VMware Dynamic Environment Manager 2106 or older versions.
Note: The cleanup actions are applicable only for Group Policy-based setups. NoAD mode deployments do not require any cleanup.
- Any logon and logoff scripts used to launch
FlexEngine.execan be removed. - The existing logon and logoff scripts are skipped (with a message in the logs).
- The following Windows Group Policy settings are no longer required for VMware Dynamic Environment Manager.
- User Policy setting - Run logon scripts synchronously
- Windows Computer Policy setting - Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon
- There is no impact on the functionality of Dynamic Environment Manager if you do not clean up these settings immediately.
