Licensing Requirements

VMware Dynamic Environment Manager FlexEngine licensing requirements vary depending on the details of your deployment scenario.

If you are using VMware Dynamic Environment Manager on VMware Horizon, no license is required. In all other scenarios, FlexEngine requires a valid license at runtime.

Starting with VMware Dynamic Environment Manager version 2203, you will no longer be prompted to select a license file during installation. The Management Console provides an option to configure a license after the installation is complete. Note: For existing deployments that have a valid license file, VMware Dynamic Environment Manager will continue to work as expected after an upgrade to version 2203. When you want to update the license file, you must use the Management Console.
