Deploying to a vSphere ESXi virtual machine

You can create a virtual host for development, testing, CI/CD pipeline automation, and learning purposes, using the same installation media used for physical machine installs. This can be done by deploying a virtual Edge Compute Stack host as a virtual machine on the ESXi hypervisor, either as a standalone ESXi host or an ESXi host/cluster managed by vCenter Server.

Note:

Currently, only Intel x86_64 vSphere/ESXi hypervisors are supported. ESXi Arm64 Fling version is not supported.
