    All Macs launched in 2011 or later are supported except:
    • 2012 Mac Pro “Quad Core” using the Intel® Xeon® W3565 Processor.
    In addition the following are also supported:
    • 2010 Mac Pro “Six Core”, “Eight Core” and “Twelve Core”.
  • Software
    OS X 10.11 El Capitan minimum required

Resolved Issues

The following issues are resolved in this version of VMware Fusion.

  • A virtual machine with 3D acceleration enabled might fail to power on when Fusion is running on a non-English language macOS host
    If you are using a non-English version of macOS, you might experience a failure when powering on virtual machines with 3D acceleration enabled. The following error is reported: VMware Fusion has encountered an error and has shut down the virtual machine.

    This issue is resolved.
