Add or Remove the HCX Enterprise Key

You can update license keys to use a premium HCX Enterprise license, or if no license exists, you can add the HCX Enterprise license.

This procedure is applicable to HCX Connector or HCX Cloud Manager systems that have been activated using an NSX DataCenter Enterprise Plus license or an HCX activation key. For more information on managing HCX licenses, see Managing HCX Licenses.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Appliance Management Interface https://hcx-ip-or-fqdn:9443.
2. Navigate to the Configuration tab.
3. Select Licensing and Activation.
   The system displays the current licensing information.
4. To add the HCX Enterprise license, enter the key in the license field, and click Add.
   The Licensing and Activation screen is updated with the new information.
5. To remove the HCX Enterprise license, click the vertical ellipsis next to the existing HCX License, and click Remove.
   The Licensing and Activation screen is updated with the change.

What to do next

When you have finished the operation, edit any Compute Profile and Service Mesh entries as needed to reflect the entitlement changes associated with the license updates.
