After you install View Agent with Real-Time Audio-Video, the feature works on your View desktops without any further configuration. The default values for the webcam frame rate and image resolution are recommended for most standard devices and applications.
You can configure group policy settings to change these default values to adapt to particular applications, webcams, or environments. You can also set a policy to disable or enable the feature altogether. An ADM Template file lets you install Real-Time Audio-Video group policy settings on Active Directory or on individual desktops. If users have multiple webcams and audio input devices built in or connected to their client computers, you can configure preferred webcams and audio input devices that will be redirected to their desktops. See Selecting Preferred Webcams and Microphones.
You can select a preferred audio device, but no other audio configuration options are available.
When webcam images and audio input are redirected to a remote desktop, you cannot access the webcam and audio devices on the local computer. Conversely, when these devices are in use on the local computer, you cannot access them on the remote desktop.
