To help manage and troubleshoot the Horizon 7 for Linux software, you can gather information about a Horizon Agent installation on a Linux virtual machine.

Procedure

  • Identify the Horizon Agent version that is running on a Linux machine.

    Run the following command:

    cat /usr/lib/vmware/viewagent/Product.txt

The output displays the Horizon Agent version. For example:

    VMware-viewagent-linux-x.x-yyyyyyy

where x.x is the product version and yyyyyyy is the build number.

  • Gather information about Horizon Agent software.
