In Horizon Administrator, you can perform management operations such as configuring or deleting desktop pools, farms, or RDS hosts. Managing Application PoolsYou can add, edit, delete, or entitle application pools in Horizon Administrator. Managing FarmsIn Horizon Administrator, you can add, edit, delete, enable, and disable farms. Managing RDS HostsYou can manage RDS hosts that you set up manually and RDS hosts that are created automatically when you add an automated farm. Manage Published Desktop and Application SessionsWhen a user launches a published desktop or application, a session is created. You can disconnect and log off sessions, send messages to clients, reset, and restart virtual machines. Configuring Load Balancing for RDS HostsBy default, View Connection Server uses the current session count and limit to balance the placement of new application sessions on RDS hosts. You can override this default behavior and control the placement of new application sessions by writing and configuring load balancing scripts. Configure an Anti-Affinity Rule for an Application PoolWhen you configure an anti-affinity rule for an application pool, Horizon Connection Server attempts to launch the application only on RDS hosts that have sufficient resources to run the application. This feature can be useful for controlling applications that consume large amounts of CPU or memory resources.
