You control the behavior of remote features in User Environment Manager by creating a Horizon smart policy.
Table 1 describes the settings that you can select when you use User Environment Manager to define a Horizon smart policy for remote Linux desktops.
|USB redirection||Determines whether USB redirection is enabled on the remote desktop. The USB redirection feature allows users to use locally attached USB devices, such as thumb flash drives, cameras, and printers, from the remote desktop. If you use a smart policy to configure USB redirection, you must use User Environment Manager 9.5 or later.|
|Clipboard||Determines the direction in which clipboard redirection is allowed. You can select one of these values:
|Client drive redirection||Determines whether client drive redirection is enabled on the remote desktop and if shared drives and folders are writeable. You can select one of these values:
If you do not configure this setting, whether shared drives and folders are writeable depends on whether you have enabled the CDREnable option in the /etc/vmware/viewagent-custom.conf file. For more information, see Setting Options in Configuration Files on a Linux Desktop.
In general, Horizon smart policy settings that you configure for remote features in User Environment Manager override any equivalent registry key and group policy settings.
