The following steps describe entitling desktops and published applications, which are applications from multi-session pool groups.

To learn about using App Volumes in your environment, start with Using App Volumes.

Prerequisites

To use the console's Desktop and App Catalog page to entitle desktops or published applications to your end users, you must have a pool group that provides those desktops and published applications for your environment. See the pages linked from Create a Pool Group.

Procedure

  1. Display the Desktop and App Catalog page by clicking the console's left navigation's Desktop & App Catalog entry.
  2. To work with desktop entitlements, click Desktops.

The desktops from your environment's pool groups are listed on the Desktops tab.

You can select a listed desktop and click on the Entitlement list to Entitle or Unentitle a desktop to end users. Clicking Entitle results in displaying the Entitle Desktops page, described in the next step.

From this Desktops tab, you can also Edit or Delete your selection.

  3. When entitling a selected desktop on the Entitle Desktops page, use the User types to specify either Users or User groups, and Search users/user groups, and click Save.
  4. To work with entitlements for published applications, on the Desktop and App Catalog page, click the Published Applications tab.

The published applications from your environment's pool groups are listed on the Published Applications tab.

You can select a listed application and click on the Entitlement list to Entitle or Unentitle that application to end users. Clicking Entitle results in displaying the Entitle Published Applications page, described in the next step.

From this tab, you can also Edit or Delete a published application.

  5. When entitling a selected application on the Entitle Published Applications page, use the User types to specify either Users or User groups, and Search users/user groups, and click Save.
