You can edit, enable, or disable a desktop model on the Desktop Capacity & Model Definition page.
Note: You cannot edit a desktop model that is currently associated with assignments in your environment.
Procedure
- Select the model in the Desktop Model Definition list.
Note: Disabled models are grayed out in the Desktop Model Definition list, but you can still click the name of a disabled model to edit or enable it.
- Edit information in the Model Definition dialog box as described below.
Note: Custom Desktop Models are defined with ranges of values for each specification to provide the Tenant Administrator flexibility in selecting specifications for desktops when creating assignments.

Name for the desktop model. This name is the name that appears in the Administration Console. |
Enabled |
- Select Yes to enable the model.
- Select No to leave the model disabled.

vCPU |
Range of virtual processors for the model. Valid values are: 1, 2, 4, 6, and 8. |
vRAM |
Range in GB of the virtual memory for the model. Valid values are 1-32 |
HD |
Range in GB of the hard drive for the model. Valid values are 1-120. |
- Click Save.
A message displays saying 'Desktop Model persisted successfully'.
- Click OK.
The updated model appears in the Desktop Model Definition list.
Note: Disabled models are grayed out in the Desktop Model Definition list, but you can still click the name of a disabled model to edit or enable it.
