View Agent Direct-Connection (VADC) Plug-In is installed on machines where Horizon Agent is already installed. For a list of operating systems that Horizon Agent supports, see "Supported Operating Systems for Horizon Agent" in the Horizon Installation document and "System Requirements for Horizon Agent for Linux" in the Setting Up Linux Desktops in Horizon document.
VADC Plug-In has the following additional requirements:
- A virtual or physical Windows machine that has VADC Plug-In installed must have a minimum of 128 MB of video RAM to function properly.
- For a virtual machine, you must install VMware Tools before you install Horizon Agent.
- A physical machine supports Windows 10 Enterprise version 1803 or version 1809.
VADC Plug-In support protocol is as follows:
- A Windows virtual machine that has VADC Plug-In installed supports the Blast and PCoIP protocols.
- A Linux virtual machine or Windows physical machine that has VADC Plug-In installed supports the Blast protocol only.
Note: A virtual machine-based desktop that supports VADC can be joined to a Microsoft Active Directory domain, or it can be a member of a workgroup.
