Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In (formerly View Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In) is installed on machines where Horizon Agent is already installed. The Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In has the following additional requirements:
- A virtual or physical Windows machine that has the Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In installed must have a minimum of 128 MB of video RAM to function properly.
- For a virtual machine, you must install VMware Tools before you install Horizon Agent.
- A physical machine supports Windows 10 Enterprise version 1803 or version 1809.
Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In support protocol is as follows:
- A Windows virtual machine that has Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In installed supports the Blast and PCoIP protocols.
- A Linux virtual machine or Windows physical machine that has Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In installed supports the Blast protocol only.
Note: A virtual machine-based desktop that supports Horizon Agent Direct-Connection Plug-In can be joined to a Microsoft Active Directory domain, or it can be a member of a workgroup.
