To use the Firefox browser with the URL Content Redirection feature on a Windows client or Windows agent machine, you must install and enable the VMware Horizon URL Content Redirection extension for Firefox.
You can install and enable the VMware Horizon URL Content Redirection extension in Firefox.
Prerequisites
- Install the Firefox browser. For supported versions, see System Requirements for URL Content Redirection.
- Install Horizon Client for Windows on the Windows client system. For instructions, see the Horizon Client for Windows Guide.
- Configure URL Content Redirection settings on the connection broker instance. See Configuring Client-to-Agent Redirection.
Procedure
- In the Firefox browser, select Add-ons and themes.
- Search for VMware Horizon URL Redirection Extension.
- Select VMware Horizon URL Redirection Extension and click Add to Firefox.
- Restart Firefox.
What to do next
The first time a URL is redirected from the Firefox browser on the client, the user is prompted to open the URL in Horizon Client. The user must click the link to open the URL in Horizon Client, or URL redirection does not occur.
