Hub Services Powering Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub App Experience
The iOS and Android Intelligent Hub apps offer a single destination where employees can securely access and discover corporate resources, connect with people, and complete workflows anywhere from any service.
For employees that now use the AirWatch Agent app, the Agent app will update to Intelligent Hub during the upgrade. The upgrade to Intelligent Hub is non-disruptive, and you are not required to change any settings in the Workspace UEM console. All your existing use cases will continue to work. However, if you want the full digital workspace experience, with added features, you will need to enable Hub Services.
Hub Services includes the following.
- Enhanced App Catalog: A consumer-inspired app store where organizations can promote and categorize apps, and users can engage through likes and dislikes, and easy discoverability of new apps.
- Home tab: A homepage to access an intranet site or company resource portal.
- People: A directory where users can look up other colleagues by name, email, or organizational hierarchy.
- Notifications: A central place to be notified of important company updates and events and take action on important workflows to boost employee productivity.
By enabling Hub Services without configuring VMware Identity Manager, admins can provide an enhanced App Catalog and Home tab experience within the Intelligent Hub application. In addition, once VMware Identity Manger is configured, People and Notification services can be enabled.
Hub Services are available to the shared cloud tenants only. Hub Services is deployed along with VMware Identity Manager. Hub Services are configurable from the Workspace ONE UEM console (requires 1810+) or the VMware Identity Manager console. Some Hub Services features require VMware Identity Manager hosted to be configured and setup.

Note: Hub Services are not available for on-premises and dedicated SaaS (DSaaS) deployments.
