VMware Integrated OpenStack supports UTF-8 character encoding, and its interface and documentation are available in English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

If using a Linux operating system, configure the system to use the UTF-8 encoding specific to your locale. For example, to use U.S. English, specify the en_US.UTF-8 locale. For more information, see the documentation for your operating system.

Important:

Although VMware Integrated OpenStack supports Unicode, there are certain items whose names can only contain ASCII characters. ASCII characters must be used for all names of OpenStack resources (such as project names, usernames, and image names) and for the underlying infrastructure components (such as ESXi host names, port group names, data center names, and datastore names).
