In addition to using VMware Lab Platform (formerly known as VMware Learning Platform) as a standalone service for delivering labs, you can integrate VMware Lab Platform with any Lab Management System that conforms to the Lab Tools Interoperability (LTI) standard, versions 1.1 or 1.3.

You can use the following definitions for reference.

Learning Management System (LMS)

A learning management system is a software that is explicitly designed to create, distribute, and manage the delivery of educational content. Think of a learning management system as a technology that can improve learning, make it faster, more productive, more cost-effective, and trackable.

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI)

Learning Tools Interoperability is an initiative managed by the IMS Global Learning Consortium to integrate learning applications used by instructors into their courses. It includes a standard protocol for establishing a trusted relationship between the tool provider and the Learning Management System so that students and teachers can have a seamless, integrated experience of using the tool within the context of their course.

In LTI terms, VMware Lab Platform is considered an LTI Tool Provider and is configured as an external tool. An LMS is considered as the LTI Tool Consumer.

The VMware Lab Platform administrator user interface supplies VMware Lab Platform-related information required for integrations that use the LTI 1.1 protocol. Additional functionality is provided for LTI version 1.3-based integrations, including to view a list of all integrations, modify and integration, or delete an integration.
