Now that you have created an external service, you can import the instructional content from it to a manual project.

Procedure

  1. To open the Lab Manual Projects, click Content > Manual.
  2. Click Add New.
  3. On the form, click Import from ScreenSteps.
  4. On the Import from ScreenSteps form, select New Project from the Choose Project drop-down menu.
  5. Enter your project name for the manual. Click Next.
  6. On the Choose Integration form, enter your ScreenSteps integration details. If you added an external service list, you can select the service list from the drop-down menu. To create a new login:
    1. Enter your ScreenSteps URL. For example, vmware.screensteps.com.
    2. Enter your ScreenSteps username.
    3. Enter your ScreenSteps password.
    4. Click Next.
  7. On the Select Manual tab, select a ScreenSteps manual to open and then click Next.
  8. Specify the following information on the Import Operations form.
    1. Select the language used by the ScreenSteps manual.
    2. Position the manual’s images above or below text.
    3. Optionally, add a chapter table of contents. If you enable Add chapter table of contents, then the resulting table of contents includes the chapter and module titles.
    4. Optionally, you can add a conclusion page to the manual.
  9. Click Import. The Content Engine imports the instructional content into your project.

What to do next

To review your result, go to the list of lab manual projects, and click on your project link to open its contents.
