Clone and create a lab template in VMware Lab Platform

In the VMware Lab Platform administrator user interface, you can create a lab template by cloning and modifying an existing published lab template.

Procedure

1. To open the Lab Templates list page, select Lab Management > Lab Builder.
2. In the Lab Templates page, open the cloud drop-down menu, and select the cloud you want to use for the lab template that you are cloning.
3. Select a lab template, and click Actions > Clone. The Clone Lab Template form opens.
4. In the Clone Lab Template form, specify a name and description for the template.
5. In the Clone Lab Template form, click + Clone <lab_template>. The Lab Builder adds your lab template, as a draft, to the Lab Templates list. You can edit, publish, or delete the lab template while it is in the draft state.

   Once you click Clone, the Lab Builder displays a progress bar. After the clone is created, Lab Builder displays a message with a lab template editing link.
