You can add PDF manuals for a lab.

Prerequisites

  • To use a PDF document as a lab manual, deactivate the Portal Settings > Configuration > Hide Instructions panel when no manual option.

  • Ensure that the Labs > Update lab > Manual option is left empty.

Procedure

  1. To open the Labs Resources page, from the navigation panel, select Labs > Lab Resources .
  2. Click Create New.

    The Create Lab Resource page is displayed.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the lab manual.
  4. Click Upload a File, and select a PDF manual from the local system.
  5. Click Create Lab Resource.

    The PDF document is listed on the Lab Resources page.

  6. To add the PDF manual to a lab, on the Labs > Labs page, click the lab for which you want to add the PDF manual.
  7. In the Update a lab page, select Update Content, and scroll to the Resources option. Select the PDF manual from the list view that you added in the Lab Resources page.
  8. Click Done.
  9. Click Update Lab.

Results

The PDF manual is added to the lab. Access the lab with the PDF resource in the user interface. If you select multiple PDFs, only the first selected file is displayed as a manual in the user interface lab. However, the other PDFs are available for downloading along with other lab resources in the running lab, from the More Options > Resources menu.
