Add a Recovery SDDC to a Cloud File System

You can add a recovery SDDC to a cloud file system to increase the number of VMs that can be recoved to the SDDC.

You can add an existing recovery SDDC to a cloud file system, or you can deploy a new recovery SDDC and add it to a cloud file system. All recovery SDDCs must reside in the same AZ as the cloud file system.

If you are adding an existing recovery SDDC, then you can only choose SDDCs in the same AZ where the cloud file system resides.

Procedure

1. From the left navigation, select Cloud file systems.
2. Select a cloud file system, and from the Recovery panel click Add recovery SDDC.
3. In the Add recovery SDDC dialog box, select either Deploy new SDDC or Attach existing SDDC.
4. Under Cloud file systems, select one or more cloud file system to add the recovery SDDC to. You can attach up to 4 cloud file systems total per-recovery SDDC.
5. If you are deploying a new recovery SDDC, click Deploy.
6. If you are adding an existing SDDC for recovery, click Next.
7. Select an existing recovery SDDC.
8. Click Attach.
