If you have a VMware Live Site Recovery pair that has been deactivated, or an individual site you no longer use, you can remove them from your organization.

To remove a site or site pair, you have two options:
  • Disconnect VMware Live Recovery from Site Recovery Manager virtual appliance on the SRM server. Or,
  • Decommission the SRM appliance by removing it from Site Recovery Manager UI.

This task shows you how to disconnect the pair from VMware Live Recovery.

After you perform one of these tasks, contact VMware support to fully remove the pair from the VMware Live Recovery UI.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the vSphere Client where Site Recovery Manager is enabled.
  2. In vSphere Client, use the left navigation to select Site Recovery.
  3. In the Site Recovery UI, click Configure.
    Click Configure to access VMware Live Recovery on the SRM server.
  4. Next, log in to the VMware SRM Appliance Management UI.
    Log in to the VMware SRM Appliance Management UI.
  5. From the Summary page, under VMware Live Recovery click Disconnect.
    Disconnect VMware Live Recovery from Site Recovery Manager for the pair.
