  2. Select a VMware Live Site Recovery instance, and click Open Site Recovery.
  3. Select a site pair and click View Details.
  4. From the License menu in the upper right, select Remove offline mode license.
  5. In the Remove offline license key wizard, select the check boxes to confirm that you understand the conditions of removing the license, and then click Deactivate.
  6. Copy or download the deactivate request key.
  7. Log in to the VMware Live Recovery global console and select the VMware Live Recovery tile.
  8. From the Actions menu on the bottom of the Site Recovery Manager pair deployment tile click Remove pair.
  9. Paste or upload the deactivate request key, and click Remove pair.

Results

After removing the offline license, you have a seven-day grace period to add a new key or to connect to VMware Live Recovery cloud services. When the grace period expires, VMware Live Site Recovery enters degraded mode. After a prolonged period of time in degraded mode, if you do not add a new key or connect to VMware Live Recovery cloud services, VMware Live Site Recovery enters suspended mode. For more information, see Degraded and suspended mode.
