Your datastore appears as inactive in the inventory of the original protected site after reprotect

After performing reprotect, the datastore in the inventory of the original protected site appears as inactive.

Problem

If you use a stretched storage and run reprotect after a disaster recovery, you might receive the following warning. The requested object was not found or has already been deleted. After reprotect, the datastore in the inventory of the original protected site appears as inactive.

Solution

Rescan the storage adapters. See, Rescan Arrays to Detect Configuration Changes.
