You must reconfigure the connection between the sites if you made modifications to your VMware Live Site Recovery installation.

You cannot reconfigure the site pairing to connect VMware Live Site Recovery to a different vCenter Server instance. You reconfigure an existing pairing to update VMware Live Site Recovery on both sites if the infrastructure has changed on one or both of the sites.

  • You upgraded VMware Live Site Recovery to a new version.
  • You changed the VMware Live Site Recovery certificate.
  • You changed the vCenter Server certificate.
  • You changed the vCenter Server address.

Procedure

  1. In the vSphere Client, click Site Recovery > Open Site Recovery.
  2. On the Live Site Recovery home tab, select a site pair, and click View Details.
  3. Select Site Pair > Summary, and click Reconnect.
You can initiate the reconnect from either site, even if you only changed the installation on one of the sites.
  4. Select the services you want to pair. Enter the address of the vCenter Server on the remote site, provide the vCenter Single Sign-On username and password, and click Reconnect.
If the remote site is in a vCenter Enhanced Linked Mode, the other vCenter Server instances appear in the list but you cannot select a different instance. You can only select the vCenter Server instance that VMware Live Site Recovery already extends.
