You use the reconnect workflow when you want to reconnect the VMware Live Site Recovery site pair to VMware Live Recovery.

You can use reconnect to fix possible connection issues or to connect VMware Live Site Recovery to a different organization. Reconnect breaks the existing connection before establishing a new one.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Live Site Recovery Appliance Management interface as admin.
  2. On the Live Site Recovery Appliance Management page under VMware Live Recovery, click Reconnect.
  3. (Optional) In the Connect to VMware Live Recovery wizard, enter the proxy server you want to use to connect the Site Recovery Manager virtual appliance to VMware Live Recovery and click Next.
  4. Click Run All Tests to check all necessary connections between the Site Recovery Manager virtual appliance and VMware Live Recovery. If you configured an internet proxy in the previous step, that proxy will be set now.
If you skipped setting up the proxy but there was a previous proxy configuration, that configuration is removed during reconnect.
  5. When the connectivity check finishes, click Next.
  6. To connect to VMware Cloud, click Connect.
  7. Select an Organization to which you want to connect VMware Site Recovery Manager and click Confirm Connection.
Note: Select the same Organization where you use VMware Live Recovery.
  8. In the Authenticate Site Recovery Server page, select the check box to confirm you understand that analytics data will be collected by connecting this Site Recovery server to the selected Organization, and then click Approve.
