When a certificate expires, or if you want to use a different certificate, you can update the certificate for the Mirage Gateway server.

Prerequisites

  • Generate a certificate signing request. See the VMware Mirage Installation Guide.

  • Verify that you submitted the certificate request. See the VMware Mirage Installation Guide.

  • Verify that you converted the certificate file extension. See the VMware Mirage Installation Guide.

Procedure

  1. Run the sudo /opt/MirageGateway/bin/cert_manage.sh command.
  2. When prompted, enter the name of the certificate in the format /opt/MirageGateway/etc/newcertname.pfx or /opt/MirageGateway/etc/newcertname.pem, where newcertname is the name of the new certificate.
  3. When prompted, enter the certificate private key password and press Enter.

This is the password you created as part of the certificate export procedure.
