On September 24 2024, 8 AM PST, Avi Cloud Console will migrate to Broadcom's authentication system. This page covers the upcoming operational changes to your VMware Avi Load Balancer deployments (formerly VMware NSX Advanced Load Balancer)
What this means for you:
Avi Cloud Console will use the same authentication system as Broadcom Support portal.
To log in to the Avi Cloud Console you will need credentials from a Broadcom Support portal account.
The Controller registration to Avi Cloud Console must also use credentials from a Broadcom Support portal account.
Actions Required
- Before September 24, 2024:
-
Ensure that you have a valid user account to log in to the Broadcom support portal and can view VMware Avi Load Balancer entitlements. You will need this account credentials to re-connect/register Controllers with Avi Cloud Console.
- On September 24, 2024:
-
After 8 AM PST, your registered Controllers would be disconnected from the Avi Cloud Console. Use the credentials used earlier (Broadcom Support portal account) to re-connect your Avi Controllers to Avi Cloud Console by re-authenticating with your Broadcom support portal account.
There will be no service impact due to disconnection, if the reconnection is performed within 7 days.
It is recommended to perform the reconnection using a private browser window (Incognito mode) to avoid caching related issues.
- After September 24, 2024
-
If you have a federation/SSO setup for your IDP on VMware CSP, it will not work with the Broadcom Authentication system after this date. If you would like to set up a federation SSO with the Broadcom Authentication system, please raise a case with Broadcom Support portal.
For any queries or issues, raise a support request on Broadcom Support portal.
