In NSX Advanced Load Balancer authentication and authorization rules define how user access is controlled and authenticated for applications or services being load balanced. These rules define the criteria and conditions under which user access is allowed or denied for specific applications or services.

These rules typically evaluate attributes of incoming requests, such as client IP address, URL path, HTTP headers, or other request parameters, to determine whether authentication is required and what actions should be taken.

This section describes in detail how authentication and authorization policies are defined in an SSO Policy. The SSO Policy will be referenced in different authentication profiles.
