Welcome to the Security Intelligence (Formerly Known as VMware NSX® Intelligence™) product documentation. The documents on this page are designed to help you activate (install), configure, update, use, and manage Security Intelligence or formerly known as NSX Intelligence.

Note: VMware NSX Intelligence has been rebranded as Security Intelligence.

Use the navigation on the left to browse through documentation for your release of NSX Intelligence. We update the online documentation with the latest patch and minor release information, so version 4.0, for example, contains all the updates for 4.0.x releases as well. All our documentation also comes in PDF format, which you can access by selecting the PDF download icon, while reading a page or viewing a search result.

The Activating and Upgrading VMware NSX Intelligence guide (formerly titled Installing and Upgrading VMware NSX Intelligence in the 1.x releases) provides prerequisites information and step-by-step instructions on how to activate or install the NSX Intelligence feature.

You can find information about the NSX Intelligence capabilities, such as real-time security posture visualization, automated generation of a firewall rule recommendation, and detection of suspicious or anomalous network traffic in the Using and Managing VMware NSX Intelligence document.

If you encounter problems while working with NSX Intelligence, refer to the troubleshooting sections of the guides for information about resolving those problems.

The Related Product Documentation section in the left navigation provides links to documentation that are related to NSX Intelligence, including the Deploying and Managing the VMware NSX Application Platform documentation, which provides the details on how to activate the NSX Intelligence feature.
