You can generate an image of a VM that has a configured NSX agent.
To remove configurations from an existing NSX-managed VM and use it for generating images, do the following:
Procedure
- Removing NSX agent configurations from a Windows or Linux VM:
- Log in to the workload VM using preferably using a jumphost.
- Open the NSX-T CLI:
sudo nsxcli
- Enter the following commands:
hostname> set debug hostname> clear nsx-vm-agent state
- Locate this VM in your public cloud and create an image.
