If you configure EVPN Route Server mode, you must configure an EVPN tenant.

To configure an EVPN tenant, you must specify one or more VLAN-VNI mappings. The VLANs identify the tenant. Each VNI identifies a VRF gateway. For more information, see Configuring EVPN.

  1. From your browser, log in with admin privileges to an NSX Manager at https://<nsx-manager-ip-address>.
  2. Click Networking > EVPN Tenant > Add EVPN Tenant.
  3. Enter a name.
  4. Under Overlay Transpone Zone, select one from the dropdown list.
  5. Select an existing EVPN/VXLAN VNI pool or create a new pool by clicking the menu icon (3 dots).
  6. Click Set under VLAN-VNI Mapping to create one or more mappings.
The VNIs must be within the range specified in the EVPN/VXLAN VNI pool. You can specify a single value for VLAN and VNI, or a range of values such as 10-20 for VLAN and 77010-77020 for VNI. For each mapping, a VRF segment will be created by the system. You can see the VRF segments by navigating to Networking > Segments.
  7. Click Save.
