What's New

NSX-T Data Center 3.2.0.1 is an update release that comprises critical bug fixes for data migration during NSX-T upgrades from prior releases. See "Resolved Issues" below for the list of issues resolved in this release. See the VMware NSX-T Data Center 3.2 Release Notes for the list of new features introduced in NSX-T 3.2 and the current known issues.

Introduction of the NSX Upgrade Evaluation Tool - Customers upgrading to NSX-T 3.2.0.1 are strongly encouraged to run the NSX Upgrade Evaluation Tool before starting the upgrade process. The tool is designed to ensure success by checking the health and readiness of your NSX Managers prior to upgrading.

Available Languages

NSX-T Data Center has been localized into multiple languages: English, German, French, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Spanish. Because NSX-T Data Center localization utilizes the browser language settings, ensure that your settings match the desired language.

Resolved Issues

  • Fixed Issues 2893558, 2893609, 2894025, 2894452, 2894564, 2896948, 2897465: Failure of data migration during NSX-T upgrade.

    When executing the management plane portion of an NSX-T 3.2.0 upgrade, the Data Migration step encountered errors if unrecognized objects were detected in the database.

  • Fixed Issue 2894551: Corfu nonconfig compactor constantly fails after upgrade from NSX-T 3.1.3.3 to 3.2.0.

    Nonconfig compactor failure slows down nonconfig clients (idps) and will eventually cause nonconfig corfu to switch to read-only mode.

  • Fixed Issue 2859143: Dscp value is not marked in IPv6 packets when unsecured mode is configured.

    Quality of service issue.

  • Fixed Issue 2894516: Upgrade failure.

    If IpBlock created on NSX-T 2.x with the following conditions present before upgrade and upgrade path has NSX-T 3.0.x in between:

    • IpBlock created.

    • Created Subnet On IpBlock.

    • Deleted all subnets from IpBlock before upgrade.

    (IpBlocks which were used to create subnet but before upgrade all subnets were deleted.)

    Unable to proceed with upgrade.

  • Fixed Issue 2892747: PVLAN properties are not cleared during upgrading with rebootless_upgrade=false

    If upgrading with rebootless_upgrade=false and a second rebooting of the hosts, the hyperbus connections will be down.

  • Fixed Issue 2896807: NSX-T Management Plane upgrade failure while Upgrading to NSX-T 3.2.0.

    Customers upgrading to NSX-T 3.2.0 may encounter an NSX-T Management Plane upgrade failure during upgrade. NSX-T 3.2.0 is recommended for greenfield deployments only.
