The import export feature of Service Composer is used for restoring security configurations from one NSX manager to another: a configuration is exported to your desktop and the downloaded configuration can then be imported to another NSX Manager.
Security policy contents such as guest introspection and firewall rules, along with the binding of the policy to security groups are exported. While exporting, prefixes can be added to the policy which will be applied to policy name, policy actions name, and security group name.
When importing the configuration onto a different NSX manager, users can provide a suffix which will be applied to policy name, policy actions name and security group name. Importing a security configuration will will fail if the security group or security policy with the same name is present on the NSX Manager on which the import is happening.
