You can update the NSX Malware Prevention service virtual machine (SVM) or delete the deployment if required.
Prerequisites
- Before updating your SVM, verify that the service deployment status and the health status of the NSX Distributed Malware Prevention service instance on each host of the ESXi cluster shows Up.
- Verify that the Kubernetes cluster on the NSX Application Platform is stable.
- In NSX Manager, navigate to .
- Verify that the cluster status is Stable (green).
- Verify that the status of the NSX Malware Prevention feature on the NSX Application Platform is Up.
- In NSX Manager, navigate to .
- Scroll down the page until you see the Features section.
- Verify that the NSX Malware Prevention feature card shows Status as Up.
Procedure
- From your browser, log in with admin privileges to an NSX Manager at https://nsx-manager-ip-address.
- Navigate to .
- Perform one of the following actions as required:
- Update the deployment configuration:
- Click Edit for the cluster that you want to update.
- Select the values for Data Store and Service VM specification.
- Click Update to apply your changes.
- Delete the SVM deployment:
- Identify the cluster that you want to delete from the displayed list of clusters.
- Click Delete and confirm the delete action.
- Update the deployment configuration:
What to do next
After you update your SVM deplyment, verify the status of the service instance.
- Navigate to
- Click Deployment Status for your cluster to open the Malware Prevention Status.
- Resolve any errors that are displayed on All Deployment Errors for your cluster and restart deployment.
To view status of the individual transport nodes in the cluster, click Status By Nodes.
