Migration Setup for Load Balancer Node

If you have deployed the VMware Pulse IoT center with a single load balancer and want to upgrade to two load balancers, you can set up two new load balancers and make the connection from a single to multi-node by changing the DNS records. Post-migration, the FQDN of the old load balancer must point to the floating IP of the new load balancer.

Note: This migration applies to the load balancer VMs only and does not apply to the VMware Pulse IoT Center VMs. The VMware Pulse IoT Center VMs can continue to be upgraded to switch to the newer version.

There are two migration scenarios for load balancers:

• From existing load balancer using an SSL certificate signed by a known CA (public CA authority or internal Enterprise CA).
• From existing load balancer using the VMware Pulse IoT Center Private CA or where the CA has changed.
