Reset the Node Manager Administrator Password

The VMware Pulse IoT Center OVA contains a script which is run to reset the VMware Pulse IoT Center Administration console administrator password.

Problem

A user forgets the node admin password and is not able to log in to the VMware Pulse IoT Center.

Prerequisites

• The user must access a VM through SSH.
• The user must have access to the VC terminal.

Solution

1. Log in to a node as a root user.
2. Run the script /etc/bootstrap/utils/reset_nodeadmin_password.sh.
3. Enter the new password.
4. Enter the new password again.
   The password is reset successfully.
5. Log out and log back into the VMware Pulse IoT Center Administration console by using the new password.
