In this design scenario, an analytics collector and exporter is located in the factory.

This device does not have an associated user identity. Instead, it relies on a security token to authenticate to the fabric. Because this device just requires IP connectivity to send data to the cloud, there is not much configuration needed other than defining it and assigning it to the correct group.

Here you can see the device is logged in and participating in the “Analytics Data Export” network. The network is reflected because this server is assigned via its group membership. You can click the edit icon to see the group(s) the device is assigned to.
