For easy identification, enter a friendly name for your Skyline Collector.

A friendly name describes the environment you are configuring the Skyline Collector to collect data for. This name is used to make it easier for VMware Global Support Services (GSS) to communicate the information about the Skyline Collector with you.

The Collector Name must be between 4 and 32 characters. Letters, numbers, and the following symbols are allowed: period [.], hyphen [-], and underscore [_].

Procedure

  1. Enter a Friendly Name for the Skyline Collector.
  2. Click Set Friendly Name.

Examples of Friendly Names include: Product, Production, City, Lab, or Test/Dev.
